Thinking it, annoucing it, embracing it

LGBT issues are ever increasing and can be a bit of a controversial subject for some. Many people believe that having sexual tendencies towards the same sex is just an outright sin, while others are more open to it. Why is this?

For decades it's been bred into us that if you look at the same sex and have a sexual type of thought, you'd be doomed to hell. But look at stories in the bible, there are many that talk about gay relationships and gay people. It's nothing new, it's been around since the beginning of time. People are a little more open to this subject in this day and time because many people realize that facts are facts and the truth is the truth, everyone in their lifetime has had some form or fashion of a thought about the same sex; it's just whether they choose to acknowledge what's right in front of them...

More and more rights are being given to gay people, this is because society has come to realize that we ARE ALL EQUAL regardless of belief and sexuality. these issues are still touchy for some and that's fine, to each his own right? But the biggest thing is that people cant throw the first stone because they know they are guilty too. Guilty of having at least had a thought about the same sex, whether it be... a woman thinking another woman looked hot or a guy noticing another guys "package". We are all guilty of being curious of what it would be like to be with the same sex... admit it! Yes I am married to my wonderful husband of 12 years, but as a teen I experimented with other females, and even since I've been married I've had thoughts. It's not uncommon, it just comes down to the person being able to admit the truth and being able to accept it. It doesnt make me a bad person, it doesnt make anyone a bad person! My husband jokes with me all the time about being "Bi"... sometimes it bothers me... sometimes it doesn't; just depends on my mood.

And even religious people are guilty of it, even though they believe it's a big SIN... look at pastors, popes, ministers, etc... hello, wake up... your not fooling anyone!

If people would stop trying to be so darn politically correct all the time, they might be able to see the truth for what it is and embrace it instead of running from it to hide their own skeletons.

Technicalities...

 Wake up people!

Everyone has their own views and opinions. There will be some who read this and hate me and others who will love me (thanks!) but it's all because some are willing to admit I'm right and others who won't be able to admit to it. Personally, I don't really care... but what matters is that this issue be addressed and stopped being nit picked and critisized by people who are too scared to look in the mirror at themselves and face the truth. The truth hurts, get over it and grow up. Look at facts and stop being a scrooge! Stop hurting others who embrace what they are and own up to the truth.

With that being said, LGBT issues shouldnt be an issue at all... why people make such a big deal over the small stuff is beside me, we ought to be looking at the bigger picture... our world, politics, economy and how we can improve it, how we can work together and stop bashing each other to set things right before we all cause our own demise, duh!

Completely agree, homosexuality is not black and white. It's along a continuum, very important topic. Well done.

I agree with wordscribe41. There's a wide range of gender and sexual expression.
